When I was a kid, decorating the Christmas tree with my family was a much loved tradition. My parents would pick a different theme for the tree every year: tacky glittery garland, velvet ribbons, old-school popcorn strings. One year, we adorned the branches with big red bows that, when looked at with the 3D glasses, which I for some reason had laying around, popped right off the tree. But, no matter how we chose to decorate, all the trees had one thing in common: the ornaments. These always included some colored bulbs, paper reindeer I made in school, a baby-picture of me surrounded by a heart, and my favorite: a vintage radio that announced Santa’s arrival when you pressed a button.

Though I look back on those times with a smile, as an adult I now get the excitement of decorating my own tree with things that I love. If you’re like me, you’re probably a fan of multiple franchises, and your Christmas tree is a great opportunity to show that off! Here are some cool ornaments to help you do just that.

Tinsel, Time, and Space

For many people, the holidays mean traveling. If you’re a Whovian, you’ll be traveling through time and space. And for that, you’re going to need a TARDIS. This blue box even lights up! Mad man not included.

If you prefer Doctor Who villains on your tree, you may as well pick the scariest one. This sparkly Weeping Angel may look pretty, but never forget: DON’T BLINK.

We Don’t Need Roads

If flying police boxes aren’t your style, maybe this DeLorean ornament will be more at home on your Christmas tree. Just be careful when this baby hits 88 miles per hour…

Be Jolly, You Must

Sure, there are LOTS of Star Wars ornaments out there, but these two classic scenes will give you all that nice nostalgia.

Take a trip to the Swamps of Dagobah with this talking Yoda And Luke Skywalker Keepsake Ornament from Hallmark. Do or do not buy it. There is no try.

This ornament perfectly captures the important interaction between Leia And R2-D2. If you love this brave princess and feisty droid, this decoration is your only hope.

No R2 for you? Then…

Maybe These Are The Droids You’re Looking For

When it comes to mobile communication, I’m an Apple user myself. But if you’re a fan of Android, chances are you’re a fan of their cute robot mascot. And what better way to show it than with these glittery ornaments from Dead Zebra. These little guys come in red, blue, and green. Take your pick or get all three!

Everybody Hail To The Pumpkin King!

If you like your holidays a little dark, then adorn your branches with Jack Skellington. This Keepsake Ornament from Hallmark beautifully plays Jack’s Lament. Aren’t you scared? Well, that’s just fine!

P.S. I am still trying to figure out if this is a Christmas or Halloween movie.

A Tiny Tree For Your Tree

We’ve already discussed why Baby Groot is so popular. It’s no wonder the cute little twig can now be hung on your Christmas tree. He even plays music!

Let It Go, Let It Go, Let It Go

Winter wouldn’t be complete without everyone’s favorite snow queen. This Elsa Sketchbook Ornament from Disney sings that one Frozen song. You know the one. We all know the one.
