Pick your jaw up off the floor as you feast on the detail here from Square Enix
If the company Square Enix isn’t on your radar and you collect action figures, you are in for a treat, especially if you spend some time exploring their Play Arts KAI line (which includes this utterly amazing Spider-Man). The KAI figures posses improved articulation, more accessories, and slightly larger sizes than its predecessor line. Also, while moving in this new direction they took the chance to collaborate with other gaming company giants such as Capcom, Kojima Productions, and Ubisoft (to name just a few) to expand the range of characters covered by the KAI line.
For me, they are consistently producing some of the very best high-end action figures I’ve seen, and this latest Spider-Man (originally unveiled at San Diego Comic Con and currently available for purchase) is a solid example of just how magnificent action figures can be.
Here’s the official description…
Spider-Man is an iconic MARVEL character who has appeared in various media, including comics, animation, and film. In our MARVEL UNIVERSE VARIANT, his joints were designed with one of the widest ranges of motion of any Play Arts KAI to date, so he can do whatever a spider can! Spidey retains his iconic slender, lithe physique and wide range of flexibility. His classic red and blue suit now has touches of black for added depth, and the iconic spider webbing is accentuated with a metallic sheen. Spider-Man can be posed slinging either translucent webbing from his wrists, or a net-shaped spider web to trap his foes. This figure comes with various interchangeable hand pieces to recreate all kinds of Spidey-like action poses, including his signature upside-down dangling pose.
He’s just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man Play Arts KAI!
Figure includes display stand.

The figure is roughly W4” x D2” x H10” (with packaging that’s W9.1” x D3.9” x H11.8”) and retails for $120. While you’re snapping him up, don’t miss Venom. Epic action figure battles are sure to follow these two.
